Not entirely sure this is so typical for the village, but it is typical for this area, at least.

Yes, I’m alive. I’m down south visiting family and friends for a couple of weeks and have been busy busy catching up on everything and everyone.
Lots and lots of snow here too, and lots of ice as you can see. This is the view from the bedroom window.

Skywatch Friday & Happy New Year!
Just a quick shot through the window this afternoon.
The sky was pink and beautiful, it was snowing and it was only -7°C (19.4F) after several days with -25°C (-13F).
I wish you all a wonderful New Year’s Eve – spent just the way you like it, and a very happy 2010!
