Annandag jul – Boxing Day
I’m not doing much of anything, and loving it. After studying/working for sometimes up to 18 hours a day, I really need days of not much of anything.
I’ve been alone here for most of the day and have spent it lying on the couch watching tv, dozing off now and then. Very, very unlike me, but nice!
It’s been a nice Christmas so far. A bit strange – breaking up from a 14 year long relationship kinda turns things over a bit, but still: nice. I’ve had lots of (too much – isn’t that always the case at Christmas?) good food, good drinks, lovely gifts (Santa, whose name this year starts with a U 
gave me some beautiful red yarn for a shawl, and some white yarn for a hat, among other things) and precious time with loved ones.
I was worried I’d be coming south to a muddy, snowless Christmas..ha! It’s snowing and snowing and it just won’t stop! 
It’s really snowing like mad right now, and there’s a heavy wind too. I’m staying indoors, keeping warm with glögg, a fire and another red shawl (this one’s a Kiri).

今日雨がとても降っています！でも、天候は冷たくありません。

after hard work for your sami-test, do you think the test will be sucessful? So you can “joiken” on the rest of Christmas. When I was in Lappland 2 years ago, I learned s.th. about the sami-culture and I like it very much and I think it must be very interesting to study the history and culture of the Sami people.

Det gjør godt med noen late dager hvor man gjør minst mulig, og det beste ut av enhver situasjon. Har vært en fin jul i Drammen også
Vi har fått ca 75 cm snø siden den 24. og nå har vi -13 her…kaldt,men jeg liker vinter, elsker den mørke men enn så lyse årstiden

Jag trodde att jag hatade vintern, men har upptäckt att det gör jag inte alls, tvärtom! För precis som du skriver är den visserligen mörk, men ändå så ljus.
